Opened in spring 2020, the Maison de l’Ordre de Avocats (MODA) by the outstanding French architects Renzo Piano Building Studio providing the headquarters of the Paris Bar Association. A truly exceptional system wall installation to meet the ambitious requirements of the Clichy Batignolles eco-district and furthermore achieving HQE Excellent.
For this stunning project the overriding expression was to reinforce transparency the pillar of open values of justice.
The main contractor Sogelym Dixence requested Clestra Hauserman to for the installation of all internal meeting rooms consisting of both flush glazed partitions and doorsets to exceptionally high acoustic performance requirements. This was achieved by utilising the Clestra Synops system partitions, a modular solution to perfectly provide the flexibility required for a highly aesthetic product to suit the building structure. In addition, in the corridor areas these partitions were designed to achieve fire rating performance of EI60. The transparency dominates the circulation spaces with full height and doorsets which is contrasted by the room to room separating walls which were provided in solid panels and clerestory glazing.
To achieve enhanced levels of sound absorption by eliminating noise reverberation these solid panels were manufactured using micro perforated steel in addition to suspended curtains.
Clestra’s unrivalled organisational expertise for off-site manufactured was perfectly suited to achieve a faultless installation to an aggressive programme. The management of this major project was further supported by the strong know how and communication skills from the logistics and operational teams. On completion of the installation there was a seamless handover to Clestra’s aftersales service team who will now over the lifecycle of the project support the client with future changes within the building.
